Research Statement
My research focuses on healthcare consumer judgment and decision-making. In my current research, I study how veterans make decisions about where to receive healthcare based on public quality information and how patients judge physicians when faced with AI-physician recommendation discrepancy. In my dissertation research, I examined how patients evaluated their physicians in online physician reviews. I investigated what reviews conveyed about the physician characteristics patients value, and whether differences exist in patient judgments based on physicians' specialty and gender.
